Can Edenstone Masonry Pavers be cut?

NOTE: Never dry cut concrete pavers.
Sealing Pavers
Why do I need to seal my pavers?
All masonry products including concrete products, terracotta and natural stone need to be sealed to protect them from the elements. Even if your masonry product is not going to be used outside there are still valid reasons why they should be sealed. All masonry products are a porous, the pores in masonry attract moisture and any impurities such as dirt and dust that may be on the surface of the product. Sealing the pavers with a penetrating sealer provides protection from within the paver, any spills or dirt will be much easier to clean off and less likely to stain the paver. Furthermore, sealing the pavers with a high quality penetrating sealer will help to reduce the effects of efflorescence.
How to Seal my pavers?
Firstly, when your pavers have been delivered, ensure they remain wrapped in their protective plastic until you are ready to use them. This ensures they remain free of dirt and other contaminants.
Ideally, it is best to seal the pavers with at least one coat before they are laid. Don’t worry if you cannot seal them before hand, often it is just easier to seal them beforehand. Also, it reduces the likelihood of staining while they are being handled.
Before sealing the pavers, ensure they are clean and dry, we wrap the pavers immediately after manufacture, as a result there will still be a high moisture content in the product. If possible unpack them and spread them out for a couple of days to allow them to dry completely. If the pavers need cleaning, a clean green scouring pad and tap water is sufficient in most cases. Sometimes it is necessary to clean them with white vinegar if there is evidence of efflorescent, then just wash them down with tap water. NEVER USE ACID ON PAVERS and NEVER USE HIGH PRESSURE WATER ON PAVERS. Let them dry for several days if possible. Always follow the manufacturer’s instructions when applying sealant, sealing the pavers does not make them slippery, if applied correctly, high quality sealants actually have the opposite effect and reduces the likelihood of slips when they are wet.
Efflorescence
Efflorescence is an inherent problem with all masonry products and is out of our control. While we do everything we can to reduce the effects of efflorescence it is not considered a warrantable issue.
Edenstone Masonry NQ
Edenstone Masonry pavers and products pass the Australian Standards tests for dimension, slip resistance, strength and durability, plus they’re salt safe.
As a handmade mix of natural materials and cement, some colour and size variations are expected. Industry standards allow minimal differences. It’s a good idea to blend pavers from all pallets as the job proceeds.
